Iain’s first trip overseas was to record a TV show in Paris. The only readily available footage of Iain with Fairport, it’s a blistering 3 song set: Time Will Show The Wiser, Morning Glory and Reno Nevada.

Promotional video for the opening track and second single from Ian’s 1978 album Stealin Home, released on Mushroom Records.
Live at Rockpalast 1983
Two songs from the German TV show Rockpalast, recorded live Markthalle Hamburg, 12 December 1983. Iain cites this as a stylistic regret. The two songs here are For The Lonley Hunter and Mr Soul. The band are Mark Griffiths on bass, Bob Metzer and Bruce Hazen on guitar, and Bot Henrit on drums.
Wild Places | Promo Video 1984
A very eighties high-concept video – complete with naked woman in a swimming pool – for ‘Wild Places’, a song from Ian’s 1984 album Shook. The album didn’t get a US release and everything changed after this.
Armadillo WHQ Homecoming Concert 1994
4 songs recorded live at City Coliseum, Austin, Texas, on 2nd September 1994: I Drove, True Location Of The Heart, Back Of The Bus, And It Stoned Me. The band includes Mark Almond, Glen Fukunaga, and Paul Pearcy.
More Than A Song | Witness 2002
A short documentary that captures the spirit and atmosphere of a special musical collaboration between Iain, Eliza Gilkyson and Ad Vanderveen. They had recorded an album (More Than A Song) and embarked on a month long tour. A show was recorded and released as a stunng live album Witness. Highly recommended.
Back Of The Bus | 2004
A super-groovy rendition of ‘Back Of The Bus’ with Richard Kennedy on guitar and Mike Roelofs on Fender Rhodes Piano. Recorded live at Bürgerhaus Helibronn-Böckingen, 17th December 2004. This version features as a track on the double CD that comes with the Thro’ My Eyes Deluxe Edition
With Searing Quartet | Vrije Geluiden 2008
Two songs with jazz combo Searing Quartet on Dutch TV show Vrije Geluiden in February 2008: God’s Eye View and Waves from the LP Joy Mining. After the TV show is the promo video for the song Randolph Scott.
